finished sewing the ingot 89, the J-1 . It takes just five pieces applied.

DSC01672

I did so, very old-fashioned because I have a husband who makes me such wonderful light boxes like Carolina or the Dori .... sniff sniff ...

So I stuck in the window with the sheet ingot form and then fit a square 6 "x 6" base fabric. I used a marker called mark Frixion Pilot, which all know is the one whose marks disappear with the heat of the iron.

my puppies I waited patiently until I finished tracing .....

The block was well. These marks would guide me to implement the line figures.

DSC01655 Here

story as I prepare the pieces of application and I use the technique of needle turn. But I know that most all use freezer paper and this explanation is not useful for anything ....

pieces glued them on cardboard and cut out without margin. Then leaned over the front of the fabric. To trim the fabric itself that left margin.

DSC01659

To provide a little work piece bend straight lines, just finger tight, mark easy. It's just give him a pinch of the fingers ....

DSC01665

the other hand, the figure remains well.

DSC01666

I match the tip of the diamond that they would use the tip of the diamond drawn on the canvas base.

And so I applied the five microscopic parts of this block .... any claim (claim they say in Spain) you know that Jane is with me and not eh. ....

Ready, another ingot more done!

If we notice the buttons on the first picture, I tell you that are English. It was a gift I received much love from the hands of Server Rosa, a love of quiltera. Son of 1939 a English haberdashery owned the paint control. They are one more beautiful than the other, and are in perfect condition!! I love vintage buttons, and they know they were sent from as far away thinking of me, because I value them more. Thanks Rosa !!!!!

What Kind Of Soap Should I Wash My Chuck Taylor

Ancien Linge, a new book by Sylvie Castilian

All we're fans of Sylvie Castilian are delighted to have taken another book to market. Sylvie is the designer of Des Histoires Broder and everything it touches leave it nice, romantic and delicate ....

This new book came to me a few days ago and since then I enjoy leafing through page after page of each of the photos .... As in line with his previous books, it also uses elements of ancient notions and recycled. Here is what we will see are nails and old lace dyed colors, as well as transfers of old images on linen, things that used to see both in their early work.
Castilian Sylvie's book so you can buy HERE.

Happy start to the week for all!!

finished sewing the ingot 88, the C-12 . I know it sounds the same ... but different ....

I did with the technique of rotary cutting, but I think that would have been better with paper piecing ... and also more simple to do, of course ....

Court:

In the white cloth:
  • 2 strips 1 "x 6"
  • 1 strip of 1 "x 11"
  • 4 squares 2 " x 2 "

In the dark fabric:
  • 1 strip of 1 "x 6"
  • 2 strips 1 "x 11"

6 strips sewed "together with the dark strip in the middle .
sewed strips of 11 "together with the white stripe in the middle.
I cut sewed strips of 1 only in fragments. "Of the group of strips of 6" I got five units of 1. "Strip the group of 11" got 10 units of 1. "

Note: a way to expedite the court is going from right to left as you make the cuts. As you see in the picture the rule is aligned with the 8 "and there will be a cut. If the rule then move to the left alinearé with 7" and I can efctuar another cut. This way is faster split fabrics without having to move and reposition the rule again and again.

agruparé The units obtained the threes as the photo shows, alternating colors.

DSC01603

Cosí units each getting five nine patches.

DSC01604

After nine patches alternating with white squares 2 "x 2"

DSC01607

sewed them together to form three rows as shown in photo.
DSC01608

Cosí rows together and ready, another ingot more done!

resemble each other is not??

DSC01582

tape was carried to his bed ..... while Blacky not lost track .....

was getting tired, too late .....

... Until finally the dream could and went to sleep .....
